I have just hit my limit again. I say again, because we have so many of them. We create our own limits. And we can also shatter that ceiling any time we want to. I bet you didn’t know that. Or maybe you didn’t want to.
See, Iv’e been doing a large amount of praying and thinking lately. That little voice inside me began as a whisper last week and today it was a down right shriek telling me something was no longer serving me. I had put myself into a situation where I was doing a disservice to myself. I aligned myself in a position where first it was a mutually beneficial business relationship, but it has now changed into a different set of circumstances. It is no one’s fault. Things changes, needs change, priorities change. However, when you are no longer aligned as part of an original agreement and you take not even a back burner anymore, it’s time to move on.
This line of reasoning can apply to business, relationships, health, you name it. I think it all falls together because there is a domino effect in this. Personal and business relationships, health, work, exercise, thinking. One falls into the next category regardless. So, once you commit to one thing, the rest will fall into place. For me, this means focus on your own business instead of on someone else’s. I have a very bad habit saying “I am great at promoting anyone else’s business/product except my own”, and do a damn good job of it. Well, what if I change that mind set to “I am great at promoting my self and my business since it is better than anything else out there”?
I don’t like to put myself first, it’s selfish, it doesn’t seem right. What about you? Do you work through your lunch break? Do you put off personal life for someone else’s needs? Do you postpone your health decisions because you ‘don’t have the time” or ‘it’s not the right time’? Do you sabotage your resolutions yet make sure to keep in your planner to help your friend who is in a crisis? What about your crisis, your health, your family, your personal time?
What purpose does it serve you to ‘suffer’, ‘sacrifice’ or not have what you need in your life to advance to the next level? Why should’t you advance to the next level? You deserve it. you’ve paid your dues. You have earned it. Thank who ever a(including yourself), for the opportunity they have provided for you, and then tell them you are moving on. You are holding them back and yourself.
What are you waiting for? You’ve exhausted all opportunities at this stop in life. Put your running shoes back on and go find the new cheese.
